Looking at Looking, Understanding understanding

This is a series of experimental animated films on philosophical concepts of perception and understanding. The films interpret short passages of original texts passages by Hegel, Sartre and Heidegger. The idioms of Hegel, Sartre, and Heidegger are elaborate, unique and closely related to their ideas. Their ways of writing are normally seen to be rational, but they are also full of emotion and sensuality. This project tries to address and transcend these ideas and the unique ways of using language of these texts passages.

It was created as part of a research project on conveying philosophy through visual media at the Oslo School for Architecture and Design (AHO) by Prof. Martina Keitsch and me.
