In the fizz of this language: Reading Hegel

Book publication July 2020

How does it feel to read Hegel today? What do his figures of thought do with us? Why does Hegel annoy us so much? Why is it urgent to read him? Hegel is exhausting, sometimes grueling. A direct access seems blocked and yet for some people it is an intense, highly personal and even delightful experience.

This book contains stories on reading Hegel today. The stories are based on interviews. It also contains a collection of quotes from philosophers. Both parts are accompanied by illustrations. It is published on the occasion of the exhibition Idealismusschmiede in the Philosophen-WG (The origin of Idealisme in student flat shared by philosophers) at Museum Hölderlinturm Tübingen.
